Hearts Empowering the Poor

We were blessed to take a team down to SLRC in January and build a home for Lupi and his family. We were joined (as always) by the team from Life Center Rainier who funded a house on the same property for Lupi's brother Manuel and his family.

Antonio with new Prosthesis Project Thumbnail

Antonio with new Prosthesis

Mexico - San Jose Region of Cabo San Lucas
Funds Sent 2019

Antonio is the recipient of a new prosthetic leg and is currently in therapy to learn how to walk with it. The hope is that through therapy he will be able to get back on his feet (literally) to go back to work and provide for his family...his #1 desire and concern.

It was definitely a challenge coordinating this blessing with Antonio living in Mira Flores(35 minutes past the San Jose airport) and with the doctor being in La Paz 90 miles away. However through prayer and commitment it happened. Now it’s time for him to learn how to balance on that leg especially since it’s been over 2 years since he last walked. Please keep him in your prayers in that he would stay encouraged, determined and strong through this process 🙏🏽 .

Church Iglesia de Prophecia Project Thumbnail

Church Iglesia de Prophecia

Mexico - San Jose, Cabo San Lucas
Funded and Built 2018

Pastor Miguel‘s Church Iglesia de Prophecia!

Thanks to our recent donations they were able to complete the next phase of the walls just in time for their anniversary last weekend.

This church has been in pastor’s heart since the day after Hurricane Odile when his little wood church blew away. Up to this point he was having church underneath a little awning extending from his home. When I went to visit him yesterday he had a major pep in his step like I’ve never seen before as he’s been very sick. However yesterday it seemed like he was feeling great and grateful for what God is doing in his life and his congregations.

House in Cabo Project Thumbnail

House in Cabo

Mexico - San Jose, Cabo San Lucas
Funded and Built 2018

This project was originally funded for a family that had been separated due to finances. The owners of the home (live there on the first floor) Jorge and his father decided they wanted to help their their friend (Father and 6 children) by building a 2nd story on the house with 3 bedrooms and a bathroom so they'd have a place to live. Since the construction started, plans changed for the family (now in the U.S.), so Heart 4 Cabo is seeking God to see how He will fill these rooms. This is the biggest house our partners in Cabo have ever built and it’s being built on the weekends only by our construction crew who lives in the home below. The reason they are building this on the weekends only is because, being that’s ultimately their property, they are not charging for labor so they have to work on their regular job during the week which only gives them free time on the weekends. If you’ve been following the progress you’ll remember that we are building it on top of our construction crews house and we also previously funded their roof build out. In the pictures below you will see some of the progression from where it was to where we are now. We can’t wait for it to be completed so we can see a family living secure and together.
